Cat Thomson’s rise to success is like something out of a Hollywood movie. In 2005 the singer-songwriter who is currently signed to 604 Records (co-founded by Nickleback front man Chad Kroeger) was spotted singing in a talent contest while on a cruise with her family. Her voice moved a couple in the audience so much that they used their connections with Louisiana State Universi​ty who then offered her a full scholarship in opera training for five years.
